There is talk of a Orange Fashion ride on Friday.

Hey lets show DKNY and the fashion world we don't need them to tell us to ride a bike. Let's have an orange theme ride on Friday to Bryant Park. We have at least one of these bikes that could lead the way. If others have bikes let me know. What do people think?

Rather than promote their own "branding" back to them in a positive loop sort of way, let's obtain some kind of "confession" out of the liberated DKNY.com bike. We withhold any lube for its painted joints until it tells us the entire plan and if more of them are coming. Then we hang it upside down and taunt it for a while. But then, after we get bored, we just chain it to city hall park gates.

that would be hilarious. i'm so down. i don't have an orange bike though, and the earliest i could come around would be five or so because i ride down from west chester. post more information, please! maybe there could a be a meeting point to decorate bikes orange. orange clothing could also be worn. be aware that brooklyn critical mass is at seven this friday.

It seems sacrilegious for to be usurping the ghostbike (memorials to fallen riders) concept for greedy corporate exploitation as dkny seems to have done

two thoughts on that:

1 - maybe a sheldon brown memorial ride in nyc rather than something dkny-related?

2 - did you see someone was selling a DKNY bike on craigslist for $1000?

some people are gathering the bikes and the remains of the bikes tonight. So we may have more of them for some action.

I saw that ad on Craigslist. Hilarious.
