Boo for promoting meat-eating. I'm always surprised when bicycle advocates go out of their way or just make no effort to take on the animal rights cause as if it deserves none of the attention and a lot of their derision.
auhhuh. You got that was a joke right? Meatwater? Its an art project. I have to go out of my way to promote animal rights causes now? And Palestine and refuges in Burma too. And the critical mass should ride in support of Sean Bell too right?
Well I was responding to the "vegan tree-huggers" comment and frankly I vaguely remember you blogging about a meat something-rather dish/food way back when. I also have seen a BikeHugger post about a delicious chicken dish. Give me a fucking break.
So no nowhere did I say you had to promote any of those causes but I'm surprised that someone like yourself so deeply familiar with the frustration some of cyclists have about American attitudes towards bikes either from society of from our own fucking police department and all the fucking anti-bike bias... well I'm surprised after all that you can sit back and so easily make fun of another not-unrelated cause.
I would be equally discontent if an animal rights blogger made fun of bike riding and wanted to distance him/herself from it. A lot of us are bike enthusiasts and vegans and we're proud of it!
I like bikes.
Vegans creep me out. I'd sooner have a NAMBLA spoke card than a vegan spoke card. If I had spoke cards.
