Rico Race, alleycat for injured member of beloved courier community.

Today in AlleyCat race news a special fundraiser and tribute to a well know courier from DC who was hurt on the job:

"Rico has been a stalwart part of the messenger scene for over 15 years. A month ago, he was involved in hit-and-run in DC. He has been in the hospital ever since, spending most of the time in a coma. If you've been around for a while, you know who he is. If you haven't been around for a while, you know someone who's upset because of this. The people in Copenhagen have already thrown an alleycat to raise money for him. This Saturday, DC's Demon Cats are throwing the Rico Suave race to help raise money for Rico and his Mother. Getting to DC is a cheap, 4-hour ride on the Chinatown Bus, so if you can make it, you should go. The race registration is at 3pm at Dupont Circle."
