Bike month calender. This weekend. Bicycle Fetish Day and more...

I'm a little confused on the bike month calender. There are some events online that aren't in this printed calender I got at Time's Up / Hub Station, at 73 Morton Street.

Not sure what to go by.

But in my best guest here is what is going on in the next couple of days--

Friday, May 9th:
Start the day off right with a good breakfast

Commuter Breakfast
Hudson River Greenway at 66th St. Manhattan (now they list bus and subway routes here but isn't this bike month?)

Central Park Loop Road West at 72nd St.
Bike to work from the Upper West Side and enjoy breakfast goodies from your friends with the Upper West Side Street Renaissance Campaign. (what about my breakfast of champions...cigarettes and little chocolate donuts)
(This streets renaissance project looks a lot like Streetsblog. How many of these projects do they have going?)

Prospect Park Traffic Calming Ride
Friday May 9th 6-7pm
Grand Army Plaza
Traffic calming ride supporting a car-free Prospect Park.

Tony's Bicycle Repair workshop

This has no address and says you were supposed to RSVP by May thats not GRREEEEAT and who the hell is Tony anyway?

Ok now it gets even more confusing.
I believe Brooklyn Critical Mass is Friday May is online listed as being last Thursday. Is this some sort of disinformation campaign? Brooklyn Critical Mass is always on the second Friday of the month so lets assume it is. Maybe Tony will be there.

Meet at two locations in Brooklyn 7pm. 1) option-Grand Army Plaza.
2) that park at the base of the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn. 7pm

Mom and Me Ride
Sat. May 10th 9am-12pm
Riverside Park Volunteer House, near Riverside Drive at West 107th
Celebrate Mother's Day on a bicycle. Gather up the kids for a relaxing, family-friendly ride through Riverside Park.

Prospect Park Moonlight Ride
May 10th, 9-11pm
Time's Ups does this event a lot and its a beautiful way to see Prospect Park, at night.

Meet at Grand Army Plaza

Bike to Shea Day
9:45-4pm Game is at 1:10pm
Brooklyn Museum, Eastern Parkway Underhill Ave and Washington Ave.

The D.O.T.s 5th annual bike to see the Mets at Shea. Its a 12 mile ride to watch the Mets take on the Cincinnati Reds in the final year of Shea Stadium. To buy tickets to the game call Brain O'Leary (Mets group Sales_ at 718.559.3038

Staten Island with Fast and Fab
Staten Island Ferry, Manhattan
John Chapman leads a tour of the cultural icons to be found on the island.

Saturday May 10th

Spin your little wheels. Prizes offered. 20-inch wheels max. Spectators encouraged. After the race a group ride down the greenway to the start of the fold ups ride...
Times Up.

Folds Up Folding Bike Ride
Sat. May 10th 2-4pm
Start at west 23rd St. and Hudson River Greenway. End/festival at Stuyvesant Cove Park, East 23rd St. and East River.
This event by Times Up is a place to show off your fold up bike and check out the options of others. All types of bikes are welcome. Test ride the bikes.

Bruce Smolka Legacy Tour
Meet at 1 Police Plaza

Take a ride with retired Chief Bruce Smolka as he reviews his legendary arrests and misconduct during many of the critical mass rides.

See some of the highlights such as Union Square South where he roughed up a female rider who wasn't even on her bike and the legendary arrests without dropping his coffee in Time Square. Enter a raffle to win the famous Smolka bicycle.

Tony's Dismantle a bike Workshop
Tony's Mystery bike shop-Astoria

Learn the fine craft of making your bike look street savy. Take it apart, Gunk it up, wrap it inner tubes. Make it look mean.
